The Minnehaha Mandskor is the oldest Norwegian chorus in South Dakota. The name comes from the Norwegian words, MAND, meaning man and KOR, meaning chorus. Minnehaha is the county in southeast South Dakota in which the founding members resided. It was formed in 1890 as a member of the Norwegian Singers Association of America, and the group hosted the very first national Sangerfest in Sioux Falls in 1892. The chorus has an active schedule with concerts performed at retirement homes, churches, and civic functions.
